Celebrate the Small Things- New Year’s Eve December 31, 2013

Well it’s the last day of 2013. I can’t say that I’m sad to see the year end. It’s been a rough year with some good moments.

Work was sporadic, but I am thankful I have a job.

My phone rings constantly with bill collectors, I love my full answering machine so it cuts them off and hangs up. Hopefully I can knock out some of my debt in 2014

I lost many pets this year, but have a loving, quirky kitty that melts my heart.

My vehicles are all on their last leg but I’ve been able to keep them patched together. They have served beyond the call of duty and hopefully a while longer.

I have the best co-workers ever, they gave my youngest two children a Christmas they would not of had otherwise.

My family is healthy.

I have hope and faith that 2014 will be a better year.

Celebrate the small things-Nov 8 November 8, 2013

She arrived on Halloween at my son’s house. Somebody’s trick, my treat. I’m celebrating my new fur baby, Aela. She’s only been here a week and has already been a joy to me.

Celebrate the Small Things; Aug 3 August 3, 2013

Yesterday was a bad day for me. It was payday but as usual too many bills not enough money.

My truck broke down on the way to work so I was a half hour late.

Work itself was a when will it end kind of day.

It’s my weekend off, so I celebrate the end of terrible week and a more pleasant weekend. It has to be better.

This week I celebrate a cooler week. I know it will eventually turn cold again but for now I am comfortable and that’s a good thing.

So what are you celebrating this week?

Celebrate the Small Things- July 19 July 19, 2013

So here it is another “Celebrate the Small Things”, not as easy as you think, especially if you find that you are repeating yourself. To me this means my dull everyday life is stable. So I celebrate a stable week. Nothing major or catastrophic happened. The garden is good, the children are good, I scraped by till payday, temporarily solve my internet problem (I would go batty without my internet), and the rain has been a blessing.

So what small things are you celebrating?

Celebrate the Small Things July 16, 2013

I have been having so much trouble with my internet provider that I was not able to post last Friday- July 12. I really enjoy doing these posts and it had been nerve racking not being able to do so. My husband got me a mobile hotspot from AT&T. I am hoping this alleviates my frustrations. So I guess I could say I am celebrating being back on the internet.

Celebrate the Small Things July 7, 2013

This post was suppose to be for Friday the 5th of July. With all the rain we’ve had this week, my already horrible internet decided to go on vacation for 2 days.

I was also on vacation this week which is sadly my last day, back to work tomorrow. So I’m celebrating my staycation. I didn’t go anywhere, just couldn’t afford it but I did catch up on a lot of sleep. My plans for doing some cleaning went out the window as just resting and destressing became my main goal. With my family wanting constant attention, I’m not sure I got the destressing part right. The rain all week did make it pleasantly comfortable temperature wise. Overall it has been a good week.

Celebrate the Small things: June 28 June 28, 2013

I went to the grocery store yesterday and brought my youngest son with me. He rarely gets to go anywhere. “Yeah an adventure” he says. Oh yes an adventure…

The grocery store went well…

It seems that every time my husband goes out of town and I run into town for whatever, something goes wrong with my vehicle.  So I am celebrating the kind young man who stopped and helped me at the grocery store yesterday get my truck running so I could get home. It was hot and my son was very patient and behaving well (always a blessing). I’m also celebrating that it was an easy fix and I did not have to buy any parts.

So what are you celebrating?

This week I celebrate rain, it keeps our garden happy.

I also celebrate a clean refrigerator, (I’m not even going to go in to details on the yuck factor) it was long over due.

At work I finally figured out my next demming project, (improvement projects the my work requires of everyone). So overall it’s been a good week.
