Aluminum as fuel May 18, 2007

A researcher is working on a new fuel alternative. Aluminum. While the idea has potential it’s not a renewable source. Aluminum pellets mixed with gallium pellets when exposed to water gives off pure hydrogen. While it sounds like a good thing it’s not renewable. Once its gone…. its gone. Which means things that where once made with aluminum like cans, will have to be made with something else. We are already depleting the earth enough as it is. I think another alternative needs to be found that is a renewable source.
