It’s sad when the toilet bowl is cleaner

A 13 year old did an english assignment, by testing the bacteria content of 4 school drinking fountains and one toilet (this use to be science when I was growing up…anyway…) The toilet bowl came out cleaner then the drinking fountains. Makes me wonder about other public drinking fountains. I think I’ll stop using them.

Ancient Shells found

I have always loved history and learning about other cultures. It is interesting to see that humans haven’t changed much when it come to adorning themselves, just the materials change. For as long as humans have existed, man has adorned himself/herself in decoration. Be it tattoos, hair decorations, body paints, piercings or jewelry.
Scientists recently found [...]

Nessie’s Back

The famous fabled Loch Ness monster is back, with a new video taken by an amateur scientist. While there is something definitely in the water the video isn’t any clearer than any of the other videos but it’s the best so far. Makes me wonder with all the high tech equipment there is these days, why [...]

Surprise Visit

A man from South Israel got a wake up call from an uninvited guest. A leopard entered through an open window and crawled in bed with the man, his pet cat and his daughter. He wrestled the leopard for 20 minutes until park rangers arrived. Too cozy for me.

This Memorial weekend marks the 30th anniversary of movie Star Wars. Celebrations started with a 17 hour marathon of all 6 movies. I remember when Star Wars first came out in 1977. The visual effects were awesome, never before seen. Look how far movies have come.
