The FDA issued a warning that some brands of toothpaste manufactured in China may contain the toxin DEG: This is an ingredient found in coolant and brake fluid. If you have any of  these products you should throw them away. I know in the pass I myself have used several of these toothpastes. Better safe then sorry throw them out.

toothpaste A lethal chemical called diethylene glycol (an engine coolant) was found in recent shipments of tooth paste from China to the countries of the Dominican Republic, Panama and Australia. So far the FDA is not saying what brands are involved, Crest and Colgate do not import from China. So far none of the tainted toothpaste has shown up here. It would be a good idea to start reading labels and not purchase any toothpaste imported from China.
